Launch of PKMS/SMNO Education Programmes

It has been acknowledge that Globalization have driven many changes in many spectrum of the economy. As such the learning paradigm needs to be reshaped in tandem and evolve, so as to meet the new challenges. The education of a country’s citizen is therefore a critical factor in determining its future. With a vision of amplifying knowledge, skills and abilities, we believe SMNO Education Bureau would be able to add-value and complement the current quality driven education system hence providing a strong foundation and comprehensiveness of a broad base education in Singapore. The Past & Present Leaders of PKMS / SMNO

The Leadership Succession Leaders are chosen by their peers, where all his successes and failures would solely be the responsibility of those who chose him in the first place. Ironically, PKMS evolved and changed its direction with every succession. This will be a tribute to all benevolent leaders of PKMS and their sacrifices. Their efforts had left us with a rich heritage and legacy to champion. Reminisce of the History and Formation of PKMS / SMNO

     Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Singapura (PKMS) or also known as Singapore Malay National Organisation (SMNO) was originally formed with the sole purpose of championing and protecting the rights of the Malays in Singapore. Its genesis could be trace back to its early formative years back in the year 1926 with the leadership of Mr Mohamed Eunos bin Abdullah (b. 1876, Singapore – d. 12 December 1933, Singapore) who set up the Kesatuan Melayu Singapura (Singapore Malay Union) . Inspired by KMS activities and strive, similar Malay Pressure Group were later formed in other states in the Malayan Penisula. Significantly its such collective activism of these group that gave birth to United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) in 1946. Right after the infamous World War II, the British return to Malaya.
